Job description

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in software development, SystemVerilog, or electronic design automation (EDA).
  • Experience with industry-standard tools, languages and methodologies relevant to the development of silicon-based ICs and chips.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a chip design team.
  • Experience with common Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools.
  • Knowledge of object oriented programming.
  • Ability to write and understand SystemVerilog register transfer level (RTL) code.
  • Excellent software skills and design practices.

Responsibilities
  • Own chip development workflows such as integration, or source control and review.
  • Create software solutions that improve the hardware design process through automation.
  • Work with Chip teams on projects, prototype and then deploy tools to make a positive impact on Google's chip hardware development methodology.
  • Develop CAD solutions including flow automation, dashboards, and write documentation.
