Job description

Entry Level Diesel Technician $25-35 per hour depending upon experience Mon-Fri: 7am-3:30pm Shift!
Clarke Power, an industry leader, is currently looking for Entry Level Diesel Technicians to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service! Clarke is located in Knoxville, TN. What are the Duties?
Essential Duties:
  • Preventative maintenance and DOT inspection experience required
  • Experience with repairing heavy duty chassis, suspension, and brakes is a PLUS
  • Modify, and repair of older equipment
  • Communicate directly with Lead Tech, Customer Support Manager, and Customer Support Rep
  • Provide accurate updates and time frames on all unit status'
  • Must be able to perform potential Mobile PM services
  • Welding and Fabrication Skills are a Plus
  • MUST HAVE A TEAM MENTALITY

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.
  • Must be able to read and write reports.
  • Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • 1-2+ years Equipment Repair experience required
  • Diesel Program Certificate or Degree from college or technical school Preferred
  • Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Valid CDL is a PLUS, not required
  • ASE Certifications are a PLUS, not required
