Plans, schedules and monitors inbound movement of materials from suppliers | Determines material requirements and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering | Develops specifications for new contract orders

Essential Functions
  • Performs clerical duties associated with Materials Planning & Scheduling
  • Performs clerical functions to assist material planners in coordinating raw materials for efficient production.
  • Uses systems to monitor and track materials from purchasing, processing, warehousing, and production.
  • Inputs material needs, including all codes, brands, and contact information necessary to process orders in system or database.
  • Tracks and develops reports to monitor performance metrics such as inventory levels, scheduled deliveries, and supplier performance.
    • Required Qualifications
      • Required education and experience: High School Diploma/GED required and 0-3 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
      • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

      Preferred Qualifications
      • Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree
      • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Organizational skills.

      Physical Requirements
      • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
      • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
      • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

      Travel Requirements
      No or very little travel likely.
