Description:

  • Senior Associate - Tax Services will be required to complete certain individual, business and trust tax returns and assist others in the tax preparation of various tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts.

  • This position is also responsible for entry level tax position development (technically and professionally through the supervision and review), management of assigned projects, and certain client communication.

  • This position is expected to perform a variety of responsibilities.

  • Completion of certain individual, business and trust tax returns.

  • Assistance with the completion of portions of larger, more complex individual, business and trust tax returns as directed.

  • Voluntarily oversee new clients and projects as available.

  • Look to identify tax planning/strategy opportunities for clients.

  • Tax research assignments.

  • Other miscellaneous assignments (special projects, cost segregation studies, etc.).

  • Review certain returns prepared by entry level positions.

  • Take ownership of assigned work, constantly looking for opportunity to reduce others' workload.

Qualifications:

  • To exemplify the roles and responsibilities of tax preparers within a mid-size regional public accounting firm through attitude and work product.

  • Hone technical proficiency in the Internal Revenue Code, state regulations and other pertinent technical guidance.

  • Efficiently and effectively manage assigned projects and staff considering adherence to budgeted time and cost of completion.
