Job description

Are you the CNC expert we’re looking for in Cross Plains, WI?

Can you set up a 3-axis VMC, edit offsets on a Mazak lathe, and keep tolerances tight while hitting surface finish specs? Do you communicate in GD&T, calculate feeds/speeds on the fly, and solve small maintenance issues before they become big ones? If yes, read on.

What you’ll tackle
  • Set up and run CNC mills (3–4 axis VMC) and CNC lathes (2–4 axis) with Fanuc/Mazatrol.
  • Interpret blueprints and geometric tolerancing; execute first-piece and in-process inspections.
  • Apply shop math for metric/imperial conversions and optimize cutting parameters.
  • Achieve precise tolerances and specified finishes, including thin-gauge work (0.007"–.120").
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical/control issues; support routine maintenance.
  • Handle basic file/program transfers using standard computer skills.
What you bring
  • Required: 2+ years in manual/CNC (setup or programming) or a Machine Tool degree.
  • Preferred: Fanuc or Mazatrol experience; Mastercam or related CAM/programming exposure.
  • Preferred: Background with 3-axis mills and/or lathes.
  • Preferred: Troubleshooting/maintenance capability.
  • Preferred: Experience in mold/tool & die, thermoforming, plastics manufacturing, or thin-gauge materials.
