CNC Machinist

Job Summary:

Set-up, check routine programs, operate and adjust semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools and/or CNC machining equipment to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations to meet close tolerance and finish requirements. Employing recognized tooling and procedures and where tolerances are close, but not difficult to maintain. Check parts for conformance to specifications. The job typically requires the ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Set-up, operate, and adjust CNC machine tools and other dedicated or manual machinery to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations.

- Read and interpret and follow blueprints and work instructions

- Read and edit Gamp;M code and/or utilize conversational programming.

- Use precision measuring instruments to perform quality checks on parts and make adjustments on machines and tools.

- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines.

- Run first-piece parts to meet print specifications and validate setup accuracy.

- Train other machinists and operators on various machines.

- Meets with engineers to discuss potential machine problems.

Candidate(s) should be a reliable and responsible individual, able to work independently and well with others. Must have excellent attendance record!
