Clinical Outcomes Coordinator - Med/Surg (3420)

A Brief Overview
The Clinical Outcomes Coordinator reports to the Manager of the Med-Surg Unit and is responsible for supporting optimal patient outcomes by coordinating care standards and service delivery within the stabilization unit. This role also assists with staff education and scheduling and provides staffing support as needed to meet operational needs.
What you will do
  • Monitor and support clinical outcomes through consistent review of unit-based quality measures.
  • Audit central line CHG compliance and promote adherence to infection prevention standards.
  • Ensure patients with Foley catheters receive consistent peri-care in accordance with established care standards.
  • Complete daily assessments to determine the continued need for patient care devices.
  • Conduct patient rounding to promote patient satisfaction, safety, and overall care quality.
  • Assess patient room cleanliness and organization and follow up on opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate patient perceptions of staff responsiveness and support timely attention to patient needs.
  • Support a quiet, healing environment by evaluating noise concerns and implementing process improvements.
  • Promote accountability for bedside rounding among nursing and CNA staff.
  • Assist the manager with staff education, scheduling, staffing support, and maintaining a clean, professional unit environment.

Education Qualifications
  • ADN Required
  • BSN Preferred

Experience Qualifications
  • (2-3) years minimum experience in clinical specialization Required

Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in EDP placement.
  • Strong clinical skill in initiating intravenous access.
  • Knowledge and experience serving in Charge Nurse and Preceptor roles.

Licenses and Certifications
  • Registered Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Required
  • Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association within 30 Days Required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified - American Heart Association Preferred
