Job description

The Dock Clerk defines and executes production plans in a safe and quality manner to deliver products on time, including transporting, scanning, loading, unloading, and wrapping material from the production floor.

Position Type: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30 pm, overtime as needed

Essential Functions | Accountabilities | Performance Measures

  • Assist production floor by picking and scanning products needed per job.
  • Perform inspections of all incoming components from suppliers for quality and spec adherence.
  • Communicate any issues or discrepancies with the procurement team.
  • Perform receiving function and validate system transactions with physical receipts.
  • Stock put away using FIFO principles.
  • Physical cycle counting of inventory.
  • Operate a standup forklift.
  • Operate wrapping machines to wrap completed pallets prior to shipment.
  • Handle all pallets safely to prevent damage or injury.
  • Unload all incoming shipments.
  • Manage distribution of empty pallets and bins to appropriate areas in the facility.
  • Keep a well maintained and clean working environment.
  • Assist in 6s implementation as it relates to the facility and department area.
  • Support production floor requests.
  • Regular and punctual attendance, consistently adhere to the assigned work schedule.
  • Comply with all GMP requirements and adhere to all CFS safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience: Entry level job with little to no prior relevant experience. Work is prescribed and completed with supervision and little autonomy.
