Job Summary
The job of Maintenance Utility Specialist is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the educational process with specific responsibilities for performing a variety of general labor and facility maintenance; and assisting Maintenance Specialist II/IIIs in the performance of skilled maintenance work in the various
construction and trades services that support day-to-day school maintenance and grounds keeping.
This job is distinguished from similar jobs by the following characteristics: The Maintenance Specialist I is an entry level classification in the Trades and Services Career path. Advancement to a skilled maintenance worker is possible with specialized training in maintenance and/or in one of the advanced building trades and journey level experience in related work.
This job reports to Assigned Administrator/Manager
