Position Summary

The Utility RateAnalyst Iprovides entry-level analytical and technical support for utility consulting projects involving cost-of-service studies, rate design, financial analysis, and regulatory support. This position works under the guidance of senior staff and develops foundational knowledge of utility rate-making principles and consulting practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assistwith utility cost-of-service studies and rate analyses.
  • Compile,validate, and organize utility billing, financial, and operational data.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, charts, and analytical reports.
  • Support preparation of regulatory filings, testimony exhibits, and client presentations.
  • Research utility industry trends and regulatory developments.
  • Review datasets for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain project documentation and databases.
  • Participate in client meetings and workshops as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or relatedfield.
  • 0-2 years of relevant analytical or utility experience.
