Job Summary

Little Lambs Christian Academy is seeking an energetic and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to guide our classroom of young learners. This role involves planning and leading daily instruction, assessing developmental progress, and creating a Christ-centered learning environment that meets both individual and group needs.
The ideal candidate has a passion for early childhood education and a heart for nurturing children academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. You enjoy building meaningful relationships with students, creating engaging lessons, and modeling Christ-like love and values each day.
Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum in a Christian setting
  • Teach early literacy, beginning math, and foundational learning skills
  • Support children in developing social, emotional, and behavioral skills
  • Use a variety of instructional methods to engage diverse learners
  • Observe, assess, and track students progress to ensure developmental milestones are being met
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with parents and school staff
  • Lead classroom routines and guide assistant teachers or aides as needed
Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
  • Ability to manage a classroom with patience, structure, and grace
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, with close adherence to all policies
  • Strong problem-solving, mediation, and teamwork skills
  • Prior experience in early childhood education is required

  • DCF 40-hour training is required

  • Willingness to support and model Christian values in the classroom
