Job description

Join our catering, bakery and special events team as a full-time or part-time, entry-level chef. We're looking for someone who is interested in learning and developing their culinary skills while growing along with our company. We are a family-owned and operated business for 30+ years. Our current portfolio consists of two boutique hotels with a private club, breakfast kitchen, production bakery and full-service wedding facility between them. Our team members come from restaurant backgrounds, and we pride ourselves on taking restaurant-quality food service to our hospitality and event spaces.

Candidates must enjoy being part of a catering and food service team. They will help maintain our reputation as a premier event destination in the Greater Philadelphia and New York region. This is a early professional, and lifestyle position, with regular off-days, paid vacation, retirement benefits, health insurance, competitive salary based on experience and salary history and bonus opportunities. On-the-job training provided in a supportive environment for building one's skills. We are also part of the National Restaurant Association’s accredited 18-month apprenticeship program, if candidates are interested in continuing their education and professional certifications.

Qualified individuals will have some experience in food service or a degree in a culinary program, along with a demonstrated passion for food. Ideal candidates must be good team players, laid back, excited about different cuisines and flavors, and interested in being part of something special.

Scheduling is a little flexible, with option of a 4 or 5 day work week. Weekends and evenings are required. In addition to competitive salary, employees benefit from paid health/vision insurance, company matching retirement plan, annual bonus eligibility, and paid leave up to 1 month per year.
