InterContinental The Clement Monterey is looking for an energetic, hospitality-driven Server Assistant (Busser/Food Runner) to join our Food & Beverage team! If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, creating memorable guest experiences, and being part of a supportive and dynamic team, we would love to hear from you.

As a Server Assistant, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional service by supporting our Servers and Bartenders, maintaining dining room cleanliness and organization, running food, resetting tables, refilling beverages, and ensuring guests feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their dining experience.

 

Position Details:

  • Position: Server Assistant (Busser/Food Runner)
  • Status: Full-Time | Hourly Non-Exempt
  • Starting Pay: $17.50 per hour
  • Schedule: Flexible schedule required, including weekends and holidays

 

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist Servers and Bartenders with guest service
  • Deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables
  • Stock service stations and maintain dining room cleanliness
  • Refill beverages and respond promptly to guest requests
  • Maintain knowledge of food and beverage menus
  • Support overall restaurant operations and guest satisfaction
  • Follow all hotel policies, safety procedures, and brand standards

 

Qualifications:

  • Entry-level position – no prior experience required
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for hospitality and guest service
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must meet California minimum age requirements to serve alcohol
  • Food Handler Certification preferred
  • RBS Certification preferred
