An entry-level CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) position is a starting role for individuals entering the field of manufacturing technology, where they use specialized software to design and control machine tools and manufacturing processes. These professionals typically assist in creating programs that guide CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce parts and components. Responsibilities often include reading technical drawings, setting up software parameters, and collaborating with engineers and machinists. This role is ideal for those with a background in engineering, manufacturing, or related technical fields and serves as a stepping stone to more advanced roles in manufacturing or engineering.
