Job description

Delta Fabricating is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Drafter / Designer to join our team. In this role, you create models and shop drawings per customer specifications. You will also assist in other activities that support manufacturing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create clear, complete, and accurate models and drawings that meet all customer requirements while following Delta Fabricating standards
  • Design jigs and fixtures to support manufacturing
  • Create routings for manufacturing
  • Completing engineer change request forms

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Technical degree preferred (Computer Aided Drafting and Design)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, this position works directly with customers
  • Proficient in drafting and design
  • Good mechanical aptitude with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Experience in solid modeling software – Autodesk Inventor preferred
  • Experience using ERP software – ECI M1 preferred
  • Other duties as assigned by Engineering Supervisor

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
