To meet the challenge of growth and opportunities, LayerZero Power Systems is seeking additional Mechanical Engineers to join the engineering team.
PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES
As a CAD Designer at Layer Zero, you will play a critical role in our design and production processes, with a focus on utilizing CAD software and managing product data within our PLM and ERP systems. You will work closely with mechanical and electrical engineers to create detailed drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software. You will create technical documents under the direction of engineers. You will facilitate engineering workflows such as product releases and engineering changes within PLM software. You will generate and enter bills of material into ERP system. Excellent communication, teamwork and attention to detail are essential skills in this role.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Create detailed mechanical drawings, circuit schematics, and other documents based on designs created by engineers.
  • Use CAD software to generate 2D drawings and 3D models of components, assemblies, and structures.
  • Support engineering, manufacturing and quality teams by providing accurate and timely drawings, bills of material, and documents for product development, production, and quality assurance.
  • Ensure accuracy and adherence to product requirements and standards.
  • Implement revision control, change management, and ECN processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to review and revise drawings as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation within PLM related to design changes, revisions, and approvals.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of drafting standards and procedures.
  • Stay updated on CAD and PLM software advancements and industry best practices.

Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology related field.
