Job Description
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a CAD Designer for a client supporting government, military, and regulated-industry fabrication projects in Portland, OR. This role is responsible for reviewing specifications, updating CAD drawings, documenting field changes, and ensuring fabrication and installation details meet required codes and quality-control standards.
Pay & Schedule
Pay: $35.65-$41.27/hour DOE
Shift: Day Shift
Key Responsibilities
  • Review specifications and interpret contract drawing requirements
  • Update and revise AutoCAD drawings accurately based on project and field needs
  • Document field changes and maintain redline/as-built drawings
  • Apply correct weld symbol and callout standards to drawings
  • Prepare and maintain PCP documentation in line with project requirements
  • Ensure fabrication and installation details comply with applicable codes, standards, and customer/government quality-control expectations
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support accurate project execution

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with AutoCAD
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting government, military, or regulated-industry projects
  • Working understanding of applicable drawing-control requirements
