Job description

We are looking for a Freelance Assistant Designer Mens Lifestyle for a corporate fashion retail brand in New York, NY. This is a hybrid position, 3 days onsite required.
  • Hourly pay rate: $28.00

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the basic specification of product
  • Create flat sketches and color cads for design presentations and buyers
  • Receive and review lab dips, strike offs, graphics, handlooms and color for layout approval
  • Attend fit sessions and communicate design changes to PD/sourcing team
  • Make revisions to sketch and design package as needed
  • Assist in researching trends, color and print
  • Administer and follow up of product design process to include preparation of technical packages and presentation boards, understanding of PDM process, email correspondence, etc.
  • Assist designer with any ad hoc needs

Required Qualifications:
  • Highly motivated, passionate and results oriented
  • Bachelor's degree in design or equivalent experience
  • Entry level with some design experience in a comparable environment
  • High proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel and PLM
