Digital Marketing Coordinator

Job description

About Us

WheelHouse Online is the digital marketing agency division of WheelHouse IT, an established managed IT services provider. We build and redesign WordPress websites and run ongoing SEO, social media, blogging, and digital strategy programs for clients in healthcare, legal, construction, insurance, non-profit, and the broader SMB market.

Being part of a managed IT services company makes us unusual. Our clients get a marketing partner with real technical depth behind it, and our team gets exposure to both sides of the business.

Transforming Businesses One Click at a Time.

The Role

This is the hands-on execution seat for our marketing team, and it covers more ground than a typical social media job.

Your primary focus is bringing the WheelHouse IT brand to life: daily social content, a weekly blog, and the on-page SEO work that makes that content actually get found. You will also pick up agency client work as our Marketing Manager assigns it, which means real exposure to a live client portfolio early in your career.

You report directly to the Marketing Manager, who sets your priorities and will teach you the strategy behind the execution. This is a role for someone who wants to learn how the whole engine works, not just the social calendar.

Where You'll Work

Hybrid out of our Fort Lauderdale office: three days in office, two days wherever you work best. The days out are your choice, not a fixed schedule we assign you.

We are deliberate about the in-office time at this level. You will be learning from the person sitting next to you, and that is much harder to do over video.

What You'll Do
  • Publish daily social content. Manage the social calendar and publish at least one high-quality post per business day to LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Write and publish the weekly blog. Draft, format, and publish one blog post per week to the WheelHouse IT website in WordPress, working from outlines and topics provided by the Marketing Manager and our internal IT experts.
  • Own on-page SEO for what you publish. Title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, internal linking, image alt text, and schema. Everything you publish should be optimized before it goes live, not after.
  • Help us show up in AI search. Structure content so it can be found and cited by AI assistants and answer engines, not just traditional search. We will teach you this, and you will help us get better at it.
  • Amplify. Write dedicated social posts for each blog with proper backlinks to drive traffic to the site.
  • Engage the community. Monitor our channels, respond to comments, engage with industry peers, and take part in B2B conversations to grow organic reach.
  • Support agency clients. Take on client content and publishing tasks as the Marketing Manager assigns them.
  • Pull the numbers. Gather weekly data on follower growth, engagement, traffic, and top-performing content from GA4, Search Console, and the social platforms to support the monthly reporting deck.
What You Bring

Required

  • 1-2 years of experience, or internship experience plus a portfolio you can show us
  • Hands-on WordPress experience. You have created, formatted, and published posts and pages yourself. You are comfortable in the editor without hand-holding.
  • Hands-on on-page SEO experience. Title tags, meta descriptions, heading hierarchy, internal linking, and keyword usage. You have done this on real published pages.
  • Working familiarity with an SEO plugin
  • Strong writing and editing skills, a keen eye for typos, and the ability to adapt to a professional B2B voice
  • Practical, daily use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar) in how you work. We expect this, we do not just tolerate it.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn and social scheduling tools
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to hold a publishing schedule without being chased

Preferred

  • Exposure to answer engine optimization (AEO), or genuine curiosity about it
  • Experience with Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, or similar
  • Comfort in GA4 and Google Search Console
  • Elementor page building
  • Basic design skills in Canva or similar
  • Interest in the MSP, IT services, or technical B2B space
Compensation

$40,000 - $45,000, depending on experience.

Benefits

Health and financial security

  • Medical, dental, and optical insurance
  • Life insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching contributions

Time and flexibility

  • Paid time off
  • 7 paid holidays
  • Hybrid schedule with two flexible days per week
  • Company-issued smartphone, so you are never covering business use on a personal plan

Growth and culture

  • Company-provided training to build new skills and advance your career
  • Sunset Seminars, our casual after-hours learning sessions
  • Quarterly team building events
Why This Role

Most entry-level marketing jobs put you in one lane. This one gives you social, content, WordPress, SEO, AI search, and live client exposure, with a manager whose job includes teaching you. You will finish year one with a skill set that is hard to assemble elsewhere at this level.

You will also be learning inside an established business rather than a startup, which means real clients, real budgets, and processes that already work, instead of figuring it out alone.

How to Apply

Apply through this posting. Please include a link to published work: blog posts you wrote, pages you built, or social accounts you managed.
