A well-established Building Automation & HVAC Controls contractor is seeking askilled BAS Controls Technician to support projects across Davenport and the surrounding Iowa–Illinois Quad Cities region.This role focuses on installation, service, commissioning, and system optimization for modern DDC/BAS platforms used in commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.

About the Role

This technician will work hands-on with BAS/DDC control systems for HVAC and energy management applications.Work includes installation, troubleshooting, point-to-point checkout, programming assistance, and customer support.You’ll interact closely with facility engineers, mechanical contractors, and project managers on a wide range of building types.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and start up BAS/DDC controls, panels, sensors, and field devices
  • Perform calibration, testing, and verification of HVAC control systems
  • Troubleshoot controllers, communication issues, and field wiring
  • Assist with programming edits, graphics updates, and logic adjustments
  • Analyze system operation and recommend performance improvements
  • Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and control sequences
  • Document system redlines, commissioning forms, and service reports
  • Communicate clearly with customers and represent the company professionally
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience as a BAS Controls Technician or similar controls-focused role
  • Strong diagnostic ability for BAS/DDC hardware and HVAC equipment
  • Comfortable pulling wire, bending conduit, and performing hands-on field installation
  • Familiarity with BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, or Distech
