Job description

IMPORTANT: This position offers a full-time hybrid schedule. During the initial 90 days, your commitment will be full-time in the office, making this opportunity ideal for local applicants within commuting distance.

Melissa is a global data quality technology company which provides address verification, data quality solutions and software among other services. We are looking for a dedicated and energetic individual with AWS, Linux, Windows and hypervisors administration skills to assist managing our current infrastructure.
Candidates must have experience with at least one of these certifications, SOC 2, ISO 27001 or FedRAMP as this is a combination of IT and Compliance position.

Requirements/Job Qualifications:
  • Experience with AWS cloud services like EC2, ALB, EKS.
  • Similar to above for Alibaba cloud services running conventional Kubernetes clusters.
  • Package management. Upgrade and patch applications in the Ubuntu environment.
  • Excellent understanding and experience with both Linux (preferably Ubuntu or other Debian based distributions) and Windows.
  • Good written/verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player.
  • Ability to receive alerts and communicate with U.S. and offshore staff as needed to maintain systems running on a 24/7 basis.
  • Working knowledge of security technologies, firewalls, anti-malware agents and security logging/tracing.

Job Duties:
  • Maintain government API accessed infrastructure based on AWS running on Kubernetes and Docker containers.
  • Maintain commercial web services running on dedicated Dell hardware in data centers.
  • Participate in SOC2, ISO 27001 and FedRAMP certification programs by following established procedures, maintaining documentation and providing evidence to auditors as needed.
  • Documentation automation, OSCAL (Open Security Controls Assessment Language).
  • Administration of Linux and Windows Systems with periodic updates.
  • Assist IT manager monitoring and troubleshooting of web services including weekly web services updates.
  • Work with vendors to resolve technical problems.
  • Be on call after hours and weekends.

Compensation:
Pay range: $45.00 to $65.00 depending on experience.
