Job Summary:
Mindlance is seeking an AWS Data Engineer to support the development of a cloud analytics environment within Medicaid Enterprise Systems. The role involves data ingestion, cleaning, and analysis to meet Department use cases, and working closely with DOH teams to modernize data processes and ensure project performance and scalability.
Responsibilities:
• Work with DOH teams to modernize data cleaning and transformation processes using version control and collaborative repositories.
• Design, build and maintain data ingestion pipelines in the Cloud
• Partner with manager to make critical decisions about technology infrastructure and components.
• Ensure performance, scalability, security, and maintainability in all DE projects.
• Build automated tests and validation processes.
• Guide development teams, mentor engineers, and provide technical direction throughout product life cycle.
• Create high-level specifications and design documents for the team to follow.
• Follow department level, and division level directives, best practices, standards, and methodologies, as appropriate or requested.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience in developing cloud analytics environments.
• Proficiency in data ingestion, cleaning, and analysis.
• Experience with version control and collaborative repositories.
• Ability to design, build, and maintain data ingestion pipelines in the Cloud.
• Experience in making critical decisions about technology infrastructure and components.
• Knowledge of performance, scalability, security, and maintainability in data engineering projects.
• Ability to build automated tests and validation processes.
• Experience in guiding development teams and mentoring engineers.
• Ability to create high-level specifications and design documents.
