Automotive Instructor – Put Your Experience to Work (No Teaching Experience Needed)

Are you an experienced automotive technician who’s tired of flat-rate pressure, weekend shifts, and the physical grind of the shop?

This is your opportunity to stay in the industry you love, share your real-world knowledge, and build a stable, rewarding career training the next generation of automotive professionals.

We’re looking for skilled technicians — not career teachers. If you know the trade, we’ll teach you how to teach.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Automotive Instructor, you’ll bring hands-on shop experience into the classroom and lab, teaching students how the industry truly operates — not just what’s written in a manual.

You will:
• Teach hands-on automotive repair and diagnostic skills using real vehicles and shop equipment
• Demonstrate proper safety procedures, tool usage, and repair techniques
• Share troubleshooting strategies, customer service insights, and workflow best practices
• Mentor students at various skill levels — from entry-level to advanced learners
• Prepare students for industry certifications (ASE and state licensing where applicable)
• Participate in paid training and ongoing professional development
• Work independently while receiving support from an experienced education team

No lesson plans from scratch, no education degree required — we provide curriculum, training, and support.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 3 years of hands-on automotive repair experience
  • ASE Certifications required within 6-12 months of hire
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostics, electrical systems, engine performance, and repair procedures
  • Ability to work independently and manage your day
  • Strong communication and organization skills

Why This Role?

No flat-rate stress. No weekend shop hours
• Formal and on-the-job training to become an instructor
• Make a meaningful impact on students’ lives and careers
• Extend your automotive career without the physical strain of daily shop work

If you’re ready to step out of the service bay without stepping away from the industry, this could be the next great chapter of your career.
