Job description

Description:

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  

YUSA Corporation’s R&D facility is seeking a mechanical engineer to design and develop anti-vibration products for automotive applications and provide engineering support to customers.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Work with customer engineering contacts to establish product requirements
  • Create 3D models and 2D drawings to meet customer specs
  • Assist in the manufacture and validation of prototypes
  • Work with YUSA’s production facility to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost 
  • Work with suppliers to develop cost and weight reduction ideas
  • Provide reports and technical information to meet internal and customer requirements. 
Requirements:

A BSME is required, and product design/development experience is preferred, but not required. 


Salary will be commensurate with experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. 


Experience with rubber anti-vibration products, CATIA, and the automotive industry is preferred, and experience with lightweight materials, especially plastics, is a plus. 


Experience with a variety of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, forging, additive manufacturing and extrusion is also helpful. 


A working knowledge of automobiles is a definite plus.
