Job description

Position Summary: Provides support to the daily operations of the Ligonier plant. Such support will involve the interaction with production, maintenance and engineering personnel to ensure that optimum performance levels are achieved throughout the plant. While maintaining production this individual may also be responsible for project work, such as building electrical panels, robotic programming, PLC, HMI, vision system and other integration work.Responsibilities:• Support and maintain production equipment • Train maintenance and production personnel on equipment operations. • Consult with plant quality and engineering staff on quality issues and potential corrective actions. • Lead and direct contractors and maintenance personnel in the installation, maintenance and enhancement of facility and production equipment. • Other duties as assigned. • Support design reviews of controls, safety systems and automation • Comply with applicable IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements by following documented processes, supporting quality, environmental, and safety objectives, completing required training, reporting risks or nonconformities, and participating in continual improvement activities. Skill/Education/Experience Requirements: • AS/BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent job experience (required). This is not an entry-level position • Ability to program PLCs, HMI and data collection systems for automated equipment; plant standard is Allen Bradley, yet some variants exist. • Ability to design, maintain and troubleshoot automated control systems and components; PLCs, variable speed drives, hydraulics/pneumatics, temperature, vision (Cognex, Keyence, Banner), etc. • Ability to program robots, primarily Fanuc, Fanuc Collaborative robots and Kawasaki. • Ability to read, develop, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, specifications, schematics and prints. • Written and verbal communication skills for the training plant production and maintenance personnel in the proper operation and troubleshooting of production equipment.
