FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking an Entry Level Staff Accountant to join a growing public accounting firm in Ontario. This role is ideal for recent graduates looking to build a career in accounting while gaining exposure to tax, audit, client accounting services, bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting. The selected candidate will support a team-oriented CPA firm that works with clients across a variety of industries, including dairy, agriculture, and other business sectors.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with preparation of tax returns for individuals and businesses
  • Supporting bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax reporting functions
  • Participating in audit, review, and compilation engagements
  • Preparing and organizing financial workpapers and supporting documentation
  • Researching accounting and tax-related matters as assigned
  • Maintaining compliance with firm policies and professional standards
  • Assisting with client accounting services and financial reporting projects
  • Supporting team members during busy tax season, including overtime and Saturdays as needed

The selected candidate will also possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Recent graduates encouraged to apply
  • Interest in pursuing CPA certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a team environment
