Summary:
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented, entry-level Automotive Parts Counterperson to join our parts department team. This role is key to ensuring our customers and service technicians have the right parts and information to keep their vehicles in top condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist customers, technicians, and service advisors with parts inquiries in-person, over the phone, or through online platforms.
Accurately identify and recommend the correct automotive parts based on the customer's needs and vehicle specifications.
Provide exceptional customer service by listening to customer requests and providing prompt solutions.
Process parts orders, including checking availability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
Maintain and manage parts inventory by tracking stock levels, placing orders, and restocking shelves as needed.
Assist in organizing and maintaining the parts department, ensuring that all parts are stored and labeled correctly for easy access.
Collaborate with the service department to fulfill parts requests for vehicle repairs in a timely manner.
Handle parts returns and warranty claims as necessary.
Stay up to date with new automotive products, services, and parts to better serve customers.
Provide input on process improvements and assist with inventory control measures.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an automotive parts counterperson or in a similar automotive role is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of automotive parts and accessories is highly desirable.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficiency in using parts lookup tools, computer systems, and related technology (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar systems).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
