What you'll do in the role:

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. is seeking an Associate, Software Engineer in Alpharetta, GA to Collaborate with business and product partners to understand business problems. Analyze business data to formulate appropriate data models. Participate in data system architecture and design discussions. Develop software solutions in a lean-agile methodology. Create technical documentation for the product. Develop code to manage high volumes of data. Derive solutions data integration engineers using various ETL tools. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days a week.

What you'll bring to the role:

-Requires a Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

-Requires three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Software Developer, Software Application Developer, or a related occupation

-Requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills:

  • Formulating data models;
  • Java;
  • ETL tools including:
    • Informatica;
    • Datastage;
    • Python; and
    • Spark.
  • RDBMS systems including:
    • Oracle;
    • MS-SQL; and
    • Teradata.
  • Handling Big Data in systems including:
    • Hadoop;
    • HDFS; and
    • Hive.
  • Agile methodologies;
  • Shell scripts;
  • Python scripts;
  • PySpark scripts; and
  • ETL tools including:
    • Python; and
    • Database SQL.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $161,000 and $161,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
