Job description

Peak+ designs and manufactures custom evaporative cooling systems for commercial HVAC units to improve unit efficiency and reduce the energy used. We are a small company with a lot of potential for growth and are looking to expand our product line to other energy reduction and management products.


The position would entail work in all areas of the engineering department, with a primary focus on field work (we have sites all over the US). Job Location is Memphis, TN.


We are primarily looking for an entry level Mechanical Engineer, but all disciplines within engineering will be considered as there are many interdisciplinary needs within the company.


Primary job duties will include the following:


  • Lab and Field Testing
  • Troubleshooting Systems
  • Research and Development
  • Job Surveys and Unit Measurements
  • Drawings and Diagrams for Customers and Manufacturing
  • Installing and monitoring of test equipment
  • System Design and Pricing
  • Energy, Weather, and Performance Analysis


Desired skills:


  • Hands-on Learner; satisfied with work both in the field and in the office
  • Ability to effectively interact with customers, field staff, management, and office personnel
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Office suite programs
  • Familiar with 3D and 2D CAD/Drafting Programs
  • Good understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics
  • Knowledgeable about circuits and control systems
  • Strong analytical skill set
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and diagrams
  • Possess strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to adapt to flexible responsibilities
  • Ability to consistently set goals and meet deadlines



Travel: 50% of the time (Seasonal- higher during the summer, very little during the winter)
