Assistant Project Manager Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The Assistant Project Manager will play a crucial role in supporting project management activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and professional development within the construction industry.

Assistant Project Manager Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Previous experience in construction project management or related field (Minimum 3 Years Experience).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Sound Integrity and Professional skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with Bluebeam and estimating with Bluebeam
  • Conceptual estimating with R.S. Means estimating software
  • Experienced with Building Connected invitation to bid software
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager’s in all phases of construction projects from pre-construction to closeout.
  • Coordinate project activities, including scheduling, subcontractor management, and material procurement.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets, bids/cost estimates, and timelines including reviewing Owner RFP, bid documents, preparing Subcontractor Bid List, preparing RFI’s, formulating detailed Subcontractor Scopes, long lead items and schedules as required to prepare final bid.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project team members, subcontractors, architects, and clients to resolve issues and address project requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals and updating logs.
  • Assist in managing project finances, including tracking expenses, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate project records.
  • Support project meetings, including preparation of agendas, meeting minutes, and action items.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve project management processes.
