About Our Family
We are a busy, active family based in Severna Park with two young children and a beloved Boston Terrier. One parent works from home and the other has a demanding career that includes regular travel, so life can move quickly around here!
We value organization and love having good systems in place, but, we don't always have the time or energy to maintain them amid the demands of work and parenting. We're great at thinking through how things should work, and we're looking for someone who can help bring those systems to life and keep the household running smoothly day to day.
Our home is warm, lively, and welcoming, and the kids are at the heart of everything we do. We prioritize protecting family time in the evenings and want to spend our time enjoying our home and our family rather than managing everything that comes with it. We're looking for someone who wants to become a trusted part of how our household runs. We aren't looking for a task-doer, but a proactive partner who can anticipate needs, lighten the mental load, and bring a sense of calm and order to our busy days. We value someone who is kind, personable, and easy to have in our home, while also understanding the importance of professionalism and healthy boundaries.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
You're someone who naturally notices the little things that help a household run smoothly. You take pride in staying organized, managing details, and keeping everyday life running efficiently. You have an administrative mindset and genuinely enjoy coordinating household logistics, schedules, errands, and the many moving pieces that keep a home running well. You naturally bring a strong sense of organization to your work and enjoy creating simple systems that bring more order and ease to a busy household. You're the kind of person who notices when something could work better and is happy to take the initiative to make it happen.
You're warm, engaging, and especially comfortable with children, while bringing a professional and dependable mindset to the role. You're also comfortable in the kitchen and enjoy preparing straightforward, well-organized meals, following recipes and adjusting quantities or ingredients as needed. You understand the importance of appropriate boundaries and can become a trusted, valued part of the family's support system.
Reliability and consistency are key. You follow through on your commitments, adapt easily to the family's preferences, and take initiative without needing to be micromanaged. You're proactive about noticing what needs attention and comfortable suggesting thoughtful ideas or improvements that could make family life a little easier.
