Job description

We are hiring for an Entry-Level Laboratory Technician in the Gene Therapy Manufacturing field! This role will primarily include performing cell culture based techniques in order to help manufacture gene therapy products in a cleanroom laboratory environment.
An ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelors Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Genetics, or a similar field and strong research experience from school working with eukaryotic or mammalian cells, or industry experience working with cells or in a GMP regulated environment. We would also consider candidates with a Masters Degree, but a PhD would be considered overqualified for this role.
Shift: 1st shift, Monday - Friday. Must be somewhat flexible as there is quite a bit of overtime expected in the role
Job Description
The Laboratory Technician will primarily be performing gene therapy manufacturing utilizing cell culture techniques in a highly regulated environment.

  • Perform cell culturing.
  • Work with bioreactors.
  • Perform documentation in the lab.
  • Support all aspects of GMP and production activities in a clinical manufacturing facility, with a focus on cell-based manufacturing and viral vector core operations.
  • Execute GMP production processes for biological products in accordance with batch records, SOPs, and applicable regulatory and quality standards.
  • Provide hands-on assistance with day-to-day GMP and viral vector core production operations, including preparation, execution, and completion of manufacturing runs.
  • Support GMP resources and supply chain by ordering materials, tracking inventory, and maintaining sufficient stock to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a Bachelors in a Science field.
  • Must have either:
    • Strong mammalian or eukaryotic cell culturing experience from school
    • OR Industry experience performing mammalian cell culturing or working within a GMP regulated environment
