The Engineering Team at Talen Energy consist of several engineering professional in several areas of the power plant. In this role, you will work collaboratively with other engineers to complete projects in assigned areas.

In this role, you’ll do more than contribute you’ll drive meaningful change by:

  • Assisting in the work on smaller engineering projects or well-defined areas of larger projects.
  • Using existing procedures to investigate, evaluate and assist in producing technically correct and cost-effective designs or recommendations that solve ongoing problems.
  • Building relationships that will facilitate knowledge transfer, cross functional knowledge of related work groups, and ability to present work products effectively.
  • Working under supervision in the field in a variety of functions in challenging but structured work that develops competencies in the discipline.
  • Gathering and correlating basic engineering data using well defined engineering procedures which may include routine and diagnostic testing of components and systems, and engineering studies.
  • Continually expanding and improving technical and business skill set with your own initiative with instruction, guidance, and direction from others.
  • Assisting in a variety of topics including developing innovative procedures, improved design recommendations.
What You Have Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college or university in discipline required by specific requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Internship/ co-op in the energy industry.
  • Engineer in Training certificate.
