Volt is immediately hiring for CAD & 3D Printing Specialist in Erlanger, KY
As a CAD & 3D Printing Specialist, you will:
  • Be creating and modifying 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software.
  • Be translating sketches, concepts, and engineering inputs into 3D models
  • Be preparing and optimizing files for additive manufacturing, including orientation and support considerations
  • Be maintaining organized digital files and version control of design iterations
  • Be setting up, operating, and monitoring 3D printers (FDM, SLA, SLS, or similar technologies)
  • Be preparing print jobs using slicing software (e.g., Cura, Orca Slicer, Bambu Studio, etc.)
  • Be performing routine maintenance, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of equipment
  • Be managing print queues in project tracker and ensure timely production of parts
  • Be performing post-processing tasks such as support removal, sanding, curing, and finishing
  • Be inspecting the printed parts for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications
  • Be documenting results and support continuous improvement of print processes

This is a full-time contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Associate's degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in CAD, engineering technology
  • Basic proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks (preferred), Fusion 360
  • Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and slicing software

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with FDM, SLA, or other additive manufacturing systems.
  • Exposure to product development or prototyping environments.

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
