Job description

Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is the primaryexecutorof planned and reactive maintenance activities at Redwood Materials. Techniciansare responsible forkeeping equipment, machinery, and facility systems in safe, reliable operatingconditions. They work under the direction of the Supervisor and in close coordination with Production Operations, Reliability Engineering, and Controls teams.Technicians are expected to work safely, complete tasks accurately and on time,maintainprecise CMMS records, and escalate issues that exceed their scope of competency to theappropriate resource. 

Responsibilities will include:  

  • Develop, implement, and support manufacturing and operational processes to meet production, quality, and business objectives 
  • Follow all aspects of Maintenance Safety protocols (L.O.T.O., 5-S, Arc Flash, Enclosed Spaces, etc.), to ensure that the maintenance team operates safely. 
  • Operate,monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment and systemsin accordance withestablished procedures and safety standards 
  • Analyze operational and production data (e.g., yield, throughput, downtime, cost) toidentifytrends, risks, and improvement opportunities 
  • Prepare andmaintainaccurateoperational, technical, and financial documentation, including reports, logs, and process records 
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance) to support day-to-day operations 
  • Support planning and execution activities related to production schedules, materials, and cost or resourceutilization 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable regulatory and safety requirements

  • Previous experience in an electronic assembly and/or troubleshooting background roles preferred 
  • Excellent critical thinking and time managementskills 
  • Ability to follow complex written work instructions 
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment 
  • Ability to use scanners, label printers, and other IT/OT equipment  
  • Proficient hazard recognition skills 
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs 
  • Stand for extended periods (more than 80% of the shift) 
  • Stoop, bend, push, pull and perform repetitive physical tasks
