The Opportunity

Rytec Electric is seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our growing field operations team. In this hands on role, you will work directly alongside master and journeyman electricians, assisting with complex electrical installations, maintenance, and system repairs across commercial and residential sites. This position offers an exceptional platform to build a long term career in the electrical trade, gain high value field experience, and master technical skills in a supportive, safety focused environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduit and Wire Preparation: Assist experienced electricians in preparing conduit runs, bending pipe, and pulling wires efficiently.
  • System Troubleshooting: Work alongside senior technicians to troubleshoot electrical circuits, diagnose system issues, and perform repairs.
  • Safety and Distribution Assembly: Install distribution components including switches, receptacles, junction boxes, and circuit breaker panels with precision.
  • Circuit Connections: Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks to ensure total component compatibility and operational safety.
  • System Installations: Assist in installing complete electrical systems including interior and exterior lighting, alarms, panels, switches, and branch circuits.
  • Cable Termination: Pull and terminate various diameters of electrical cables for new construction, commercial upfits, and residential projects.
  • High Elevation Work: Work comfortably at various heights utilizing ladders, scaffolding, and powered aerial lifts.


What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)

  • Required
  • Technical Aptitude: Proficiency in preparing conduits, pulling wire, and working with hand and power tools.
  • Safety and Code Literacy: Solid knowledge of jobsite safety procedures and foundational familiarity with the National Electrical Code NEC.
  • High Elevation Capability: Ability to work safely at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lift equipment.
  • Physical Endurance: Ability to perform rigorous physical labor in varying weather and site conditions.
  • Professional Demeanor: Trustworthy, courteous, and professional when working on commercial or residential customer properties.
  • Logistics Infrastructure: Reliable personal transportation to travel to assigned work sites.
