As an eCommerce Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities for our agency’s eCommerce services and solutions. This role is focused on selling custom eCommerce development, platform migrations, optimization services, and digital strategy engagements across platforms including Shopify, BigCommerce, and Magento/Adobe Commerce.

This is not an entry-level sales role. Prior eCommerce sales experience is required. We are specifically seeking candidates who already understand the eCommerce ecosystem, common platform challenges, digital commerce terminology, and the consultative sales process associated with agency and technology services.

You will work closely with internal strategy, design, development, and leadership teams to help prospective clients identify solutions that align with their business goals. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, consultative selling ability, technical aptitude, and a high level of personal accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities for eCommerce services and platform solutions.
  • Generate qualified leads through outbound outreach, networking, referrals, partnerships, and industry engagement.
  • Lead discovery conversations with prospective clients to understand business goals, pain points, platform requirements, and project scope.
  • Present and position Forix’s eCommerce capabilities, including Shopify, BigCommerce, and Magento/Adobe Commerce solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, estimates, presentations, and solution recommendations.
  • Maintain and manage a healthy sales pipeline through CRM tools and consistent follow-up.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients, partners, and industry contacts.
  • Stay informed on eCommerce industry trends, emerging technologies, and platform updates.
  • Meet and exceed individual sales goals and revenue targets.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, networking opportunities, and client meetings as needed.

Qualifications

  • Prior eCommerce sales experience is required.
  • Experience selling Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento/Adobe Commerce, or related eCommerce services and technologies is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a consultative sales environment.
  • Strong understanding of the eCommerce ecosystem, including online retail operations, digital marketing concepts, and platform functionality.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and self-management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Technical aptitude is a must. You will regularly communicate with developers, strategists, and technology-focused clients.
  • Professional conduct and quality speaking skills are essential in a role that involves significant client interaction.
  • Strong writing skills are required.
  • Experience working for or with digital agencies is a plus.
  • Must be able to work primarily from our Beaverton office.

Screening Criteria

  • Criminal background check
  • US citizenship or valid work visa
  • Solid references from previous work managers (not coworkers)

Benefits

We are committed to maintaining a motivated, positive work environment with people who share, demonstrate, and live our core values. Take pride in working for a company that creates successful and award-winning digital commerce experiences while continually providing value to employees and clients alike.
