We're looking for full-time team members to join our Portland Warehouse team and fill in as a Van Driver when needed. This role combines driver and warehouse shifts for a 40-hour workweek, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm; $22.25 per hour for driving and $20 per hour for warehouse work.

Job duties
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Periodically works in outdoor weather conditions, including all 4 seasons (Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring)
  • Sort and process materials carefully to maximize reuse and recycling potential
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including balers, pallet jacks, and straddle stackers, with on-the-job training provided as needed
  • Prepare outbound shipments accurately
  • Other duties assigned as necessary by management
  • Safely operate Ridwell high-roof cargo vans throughout the Portland area
  • Complete between 125 - 150 daily stops efficiently and accurately
  • Collect members' materials from designated bins at their homes
  • Assist with completing remaining stops after finishing your assigned route
  • Navigate routes effectively using the provided smartphone apps
  • Maintain regular communication with our dedicated Driver Support team regarding route timing
  • Manage loading and unloading of vehicles efficiently
  • Deliver Ridwell bins and new member kits to members' homes
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with Ridwell members
  • Work safely outdoors and in all weather conditions, various temperature extremes, including heat, cold, moisture, and wind
Job Requirements
  • Ability to maintain consistent attendance - we count on each other to be here when scheduled so we can deliver excellent service as a team
  • Must be 21 years or older with a valid driver's license for at least 3 years
  • Ability to read and follow written or oral instructions in English
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach, and lift up to 49 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must own and be able to use a smartphone and Google or Apple maps
  • Ability to communicate effectively digitally via text and email.
  • Must pass a background and motor vehicle history check if offered the position.
  • Must be available to work Monday-Friday and possible Saturday shifts.
  • Previous Pick up and/or Route Delivery experience strongly preferred
