Summary of Position
The Embellishment Technician I is responsible for applying premium decorative finishes to Rebel Athletic apparel, including rhinestones, embroidery, heat transfers, and other embellishment methods. This entry level role supports the execution of detailed designs and ensures accuracy, consistency, and quality throughout the embellishment process. The technician works closely with production teams to maintain Rebel's high standards of craftsmanship and performance wear quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare garments, materials, and workstation based on approved design files and production specifications.
  • Operate rhinestone setters, embroidery machines, heat presses, and related equipment with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Verify placement, alignment, and color accuracy before and during embellishment application.
  • Perform quality checks on completed pieces and report or correct any defects.
  • Assist with basic equipment care including cleaning, threading, and routine maintenance.
  • Collaborate with pattern makers, sewing technicians, and quality control teams to maintain workflow alignment.
  • Monitor embellishment supplies and communicate replenishment needs to the Maker Center Manager.
  • Follow safety protocols for heat equipment, adhesives, machinery, and materials.

Required Qualifications
  • 2 or more years of experience in garment embellishment, embroidery, heat transfer, or related decorative finishing.
  • Skilled in using embellishment tools and machinery with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of garment construction and placement techniques.
  • Ability to read and execute detailed design specifications and production schedules.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with performance fabrics or custom athletic uniforms.
  • Familiarity with sublimation and advanced embellishment processes.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. may be required.
