will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production goals are met safely,
cost-effectively, and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Support the monitoring and analyzing of production line performance to identify
opportunities for improvement in throughput, efficiency, and quality. - Conduct or assist with root cause analysis and implement corrective action.
- Support the introduction of new products or equipment into the production line,
including trials and validation. - Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions,
and process documentation. - Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and support kaizen events to drive
continuous improvement. - Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and safety teams to ensure smooth and
safe production operations. - Gather and analyze production data to support decision-making and report key
performance indicators (KPIs). - Support training efforts for operators and technicians on new processes or
equipment. - Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory
requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or plant environment
(internships and co-ops included). - Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on aptitude in a production setting.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools and concepts (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value
Stream Mapping) is a plus. - Able to properly and regularly utilize the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for
a period of up to 12 hours - Must be able to perform the following over the course of up to 12 hours per day
- Lift/push/pull up to 35 pounds on occasion
- Stoop, twist, bend
- Reach overhead
- Sit and/or stand for lengthy periods
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and hands-on environment.
Skills:
- Ability to analyze data and present findings clearly and concisely. Experienced
with JMP, Minitab is a plus - Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with CAD
or production management systems is a plus.
