Job description

Amazon seeks a highly effective Finance Manager to join the Amazon Customer Service Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to play a key role in business support. Amazon Customer Service serves as the steward of Customer Obsession across Amazon, with a mission to be unrelenting customer advocates by providing automated and human support while using customer signals to eliminate upstream defects. In this role, you will partner with Finance leaders across the Amazon CS organization to support transformative Customer Service initiatives, joining one of the most customer-obsessed finance teams at Amazon.

As a member of this team, you will leverage analytical, technical, and communication skills to drive worldwide projects, engineer ad-hoc financial analyses, support business planning, and implement ideas for process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, be comfortable with healthy respectful debate, and be skilled at earning trust across both finance and business teams.
Key job responsibilities

- Partner with business and ops leaders to surface the financial story behind operational metrics, and translate that into actionable insights and recommendations
- Influence senior leadership decisions through clear written narratives, structured analysis, and lead financial review meetings
- Strengthen financial controls and governance by identifying gaps in spending policy, headcount classification, or cost allocation, and partnering with stakeholders to implement scalable fixes
- Drive process improvement and automation across reporting, reconciliation, and data pipelines, partnering with data and technology teams to ensure timely, accurate inputs
- Build scalable tools and solutions that grow throughput on your team and across stakeholder groups
