Description

General Responsibilities

Since 1983, Vehrs Distributing has been on a mission to create and deliver the finest premium wine and spirits portfolio in the Pacific Northwest. As we expand our offerings to include non-alcoholic beverages and reach more clients in the Western Washington region, we're looking for an experienced, results-driven Chain Support Coordinator. This position will provide support to the Chain Sales Team. Reporting to the Chain Account Manager, this role requires frequent travel throughout the territory and a strong presence in the local marketplace.


Essential Functions


1. Key Account Management

  • Support strong relationships with buyers and decision-makers
  • Support placements, features, and promotions

2. Revenue Growth & Distribution

  • Identify growth opportunities within accounts
  • Ensure consistent execution across all locations

3. Pricing & Program Execution

  • Maintain consistency across multi-location accounts
  • Monitor program performance and provide feedback via Execution Tracker

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with District Sales Managers to ensure field execution
  • Coordinate with Operations on delivery and service needs
  • Work with Commercial Operations on program structure and pricing
  • Communicate needs and insights back to leadership

5. Planning & Forecasting

  • Forecast volume and promotional activity
  • Align forecasts with Portfolio and Purchasing teams
  • Monitor account performance against plan 

Requirements

 Skills & Qualifications

  • Two (2) + years of experience in beverage/alcohol distribution, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or grocery preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Western Washington competitive landscape.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal teams.
  • Competent with mobile devices, email, and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to adhere to all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and warehouse safety standards of various retailers.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand and walk for long periods across large-format stores.
  • Able to bend, kneel, reach, and climb ladders for shelf access.
  • Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds (cases, displays, POS).

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field preferred; equivalent sales/distribution experience considered.
  • Wine/spirits knowledge required.

Compensation

This is a full time hourly position at $25/hour.

  • This position starts at 80 hours of paid vacation per year. Our tiered accrual schedule increases based on seniority, capping at 160 hours after six years of service.
