Job description

Hawkins Parnell is looking for an Administrative Legal Clerk to assist one or more busy practice teams. The position is ideal for someone seeking to gain some experience in a law firm environment or who is considering going to law school. This is an entry level position .
Job Responsibilities :
  • Create and maintain paper and electronic files in compliance with internal policies
  • Find and retrieve information from files in response to requests from team members
  • Scan/OCR documents
  • Read incoming materials in order to determine how and where they should be classified or filed
  • Prepare documents for offsite storage and confidential disposal
  • Maintain client notebooks
  • Assist in trial preparation
  • Learn and utilize litigation software
  • Some receptionist duties on a multiline system
  • Conference room preparation and setup

Requirements :
  • Familiarity with MS office and file management suite
  • Some office experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently
  • Critical reasoning and personal judgment required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
