Job description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a detail-oriented services organization in Boston, Massachusetts on a Contract basis. This fully onsite role is ideal for someone who is highly accurate, comfortable managing a high volume of invoice activity, and interested in supporting a busy finance function. The position offers weekday hours and is expected to continue for at least several months, with the potential for an extended assignment based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
• Process a large volume of incoming invoices with speed and accuracy while maintaining organized financial records.
• Enter invoice details into accounting systems and verify coding to ensure payments are routed correctly.
• Set up new vendor profiles and update supplier information within internal platforms as needed.
• Support accounts payable operations tied to new business activity that has significantly increased invoice flow.
• Review invoice documentation for completeness and follow up on discrepancies before submission for payment.
• Assist with check run preparation and other payment processing tasks to help keep vendor accounts current.
• Work across systems such as bill.com, Dynamics, and QuickBooks to maintain accurate transaction data.
• Collaborate with internal team members to help sustain daily accounts payable coverage during a staffing backfill period.• Experience with accounts payable, invoice processing, or similar financial data entry work.
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with coding invoices and supporting routine payment workflows.
• Ability to manage a heavy workload and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of bill.com and QuickBooks; exposure to Dynamics is helpful.
• Comfortable working onsite on a permanent basis in Boston, Massachusetts.
• Entry-level candidates will be considered if they demonstrate solid administrative accuracy and aptitude for AP tasks.
