Job description

The Atlantic Group has partnered with a law firm in the Manhattan area. They have an immediate need for an Entry Level Accountant to join their team. This position is a full-time contract role with opportunity to become permanent based on performance.

*Recent graduates are encouraged to apply*

Job Responsibilities:

-Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable data entry into accounting software and/or Microsoft Excel

-Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval

-Communicate with vendors for copies of invoices or discrepancies

-Maintain vendor folders

-Create invoices when requested

-Assist with month-end journal entries, reports, and mailings

-Assist with other projects as needed

Skills & Experience Required:

-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance

-1-3 years of professional experience

-Prior accounting/AP experience preferred

-Proficient in Microsoft Excel

-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
