About the Candidate/Role

Tradewind Aviation is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join a dynamic Finance team in our Middlebury, Connecticut Corporate office. This candidate is expected to process, track, and accurately record payable transactions while adhering to our policies and procedures. This individual should have very strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, solve problems and be comfortable interacting with the team with respect to their expertise. This role will report to the Sr. Accounting Manager.


Essential Duties

  • This is an entry level role. 
  • Route all bills for appropriate approval based on company policies & procedures  
  • Enter payables into RAMP to review coding and posting entity prior to approval  
  • Accurately set up new vendors according to policy including proper maintenance of W-9s and verbal verification of banking information  
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal approvers  
  • Prepare approved payments as requested  
  • Daily review of Emburse, our expense management software including review of expense reports, managing inquires, and training new users  
  • Manage the ordering and cancellation of corporate credit card & aircraft fleet cards  
  • Verify fuel & landing charges against scheduling system including weekly and monthly data sheets  
  • Reconcile weekly fuel cards and monthly corporate cards  
  • Coordinate mail delivery with Headquarters  
  • Ability to provide positive, team-oriented collaboration and customer service with all internal and external stakeholders, project partners, and business users. 
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Prior relevant course work & internship  
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines and manage priorities  
  • Demonstrated ability to learn a new system  
  • Must be self-driven, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational skills including time-management and prioritization.  
  • Must possess strong communication skills to interact with leadership and various departments  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Understand and adhere to internal controls

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer  
  • Be able to lift 15 lbs. of weight
