East Coast Communications has a long-standing reputation for providing quality service to the Telecommunications industry throughout New England and the Eastern United States. Our staff has over 120 years of industry experience. Some of our customers include Sprint, US Cellular, Verizon Wireless, and many other carriers.

We're looking for motivated individuals to join our team. When you’re looking to make a change to your daily routine with adding some excitement and adventure, East Coast Communications would like to talk to you!

We are looking for Entry Level candidates to become Telecommunications Tower Technicians. We have a class for new hires that includes classroom training, climbing training and two months of On the Job Training. All training is paid.

Relocation program and assistance is available for qualified applicants.

OVERVIEW:

Telecommunications Tower Techs must be able to follow risk management guidelines while ensuring quality work in a fast-paced environment. Jobs will include turn-key tower sites, modifications, and field troubleshooting. Also, you may be climbing 200 + ft. in all-weather conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic knowledge and use of hand tools and mechanical equipment.

• General construction and safety knowledge.

• Experience in the tower industry is preferred, other experience related working at heights is acceptable.

• Ability to recognize safety Hazards.

• Basic knot tying and rigging skills preferred.

• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Must be willing and able to travel out of town, M-F, Overnight, on a limited basis as needed. *Per Diem will be given for overnight travel

• Able to meet physical requirements such as standing, bending, lifting, and climbing for the duration of shift.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and Physical.

• Must be able to pass a background check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Frequently climb tall structures (300 feet or more) with 75 lb. load.

• 90% of work is outdoors and year-round and occasionally in extreme weather conditions

• Ability to hear, understand and respond appropriately to verbal requests.

• Clear visual ability, with or without correction

• Ability to reach and stretch repetitively

• Ability to walk, stand and bend for long periods of time

• Employee is regularly required to stand, repetitive use of hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms. Working overhead with hands and arms. Climbing and balancing at heights. Stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling.
