Responsibilities

Claflin University invites applicants to apply for a position as an Professor of Digital Design (3D Modeling/Animation). Applicant should be knowledgeable in the following areas: 3D modeling software, CAD / CAM, Adobe Suite, 3D Printing, Animation, Game Design, Illustration, and Motion Graphics. Applicant should be familiar with both Apple and PC systems.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to maintain an ongoing program of research and publication, the potential to secure external grant funding to support that research, and the willingness to contribute substantially to the departments teaching mission. Adjuncts report to the Department of Art Chair and provide support to students across three majors (Digital Design, Studio Art, Art Education).

The digital design major is the largest in the Department of Art. We are looking to add a faculty member that is prepared to take the major into the future and prepare our students for lucrative careers.

Qualifications

Applicant should possess an MFA or higher in the Design field from a regionally accredited institution. Prior teaching experience is preferred. Real world client-based design experience is preferred.
