Job description

Job Title: Production Worker - 1st shift - $20 to $22 an hour

Job Description

This role focuses on safely handling and producing composite materials using production machinery and hand assembly processes. You will work with chemicals, fluids, and compressed gases, assemble molds, and operate furnaces and ovens while maintaining accurate records in an ERP system. The position requires attention to detail, strong adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to follow work orders independently.

Responsibilities

  • Safely handle and produce composite materials using production machinery and hand assembly processes.
  • Handle chemicals, fluids, and compressed gases in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Assemble molds using basic hand tools and ensure they meet production specifications.
  • Load molds into furnaces and ovens and monitor them according to process requirements.
  • Interpret work orders autonomously and follow them accurately to complete production tasks.
  • Perform visual quality checks to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Utilize an ERP system to record production data, results, and any relevant process information.
  • Maintain accurate data entry and record keeping for all assigned production activities.
  • Support batching and mixing processes for chemicals when required, following detailed instructions.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety and quality requirements.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience interpreting work orders independently in a production or similar environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience performing visual quality inspections or quality checks.
  • At least 1 year of experience using hand tools or other tools requiring manual dexterity.
  • At least 1 year of experience in data entry or record keeping within a work setting.
  • Ability to safely handle chemicals, fluids, and compressed gases.
  • Ability to operate production machinery and perform hand assembly tasks.
  • Ability to assemble molds and load them into furnaces and ovens.
  • Comfort using an ERP system or similar software to record data and results.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
