We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced electrical engineering professional to join our team to partner in securing career and corporate goals. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering for the construction industry and will be responsible for developing electrical system designs for a variety of projects, including commercial, industrial, and institutional.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Designing and developing electrical systems for a range of projects, including power systems, lighting & control systems, fire alarms, and generators.
  • Conducting technical calculations and analyses to ensure the viability and compliance of designs
  • Preparing detailed technical reports and specifications for electrical systems
  • Collaborating with other engineering teams and departments to integrate electrical systems into broader project plans
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior team members
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments in electrical engineering

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license in the field of electrical engineering for the state of South Carolina or capable of getting a South Carolina license by comity; EITs eligible for the PE exam
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical engineering
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices, including power systems, lighting systems, lighting controls & fire alarm design.
  • Experience with SKM Short Circuit, Coordination, and Arc Flash (a plus)
  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and Revit (primary use).
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
